ISO 14067

ISO 14067

ISO 14067 defines the principles, requirements and guidelines for the quantification of carbon footprint of products. The aim of the standard is to quantify Greenhouse gas emissions associated with the life cycle stages of a product.

The standard uses the characterization factors for GWP 100 (including climate carbon feedbacks) developed by IPCC in Assessment Report 5 (AR5). The version implemented in GaBi is split into five separate indicators:

  • ISO14067 GWP100, Fossil GHG emissions
  • ISO14067 GWP100, Biogenic GHG emissions
  • ISO14067 GWP100, Biogenic GHG removal
  • ISO14067 GWP100, Emissions from land use change (dLUC)
  • ISO14067 GWP100, Air craft emissions

Normalisation and weighting

Normalization and weighting is not developed for the ISO 14067 GWP quantities.
